Your conversation is yours, and only yours

We know what you're entrusting us with. A chat can hold the most intimate part of a relationship — and sometimes, without meaning to, passwords or private data. That's why we treat your conversation with the same care you kept it with. Here is exactly what we do with it.

• What you upload: the .zip file you export from WhatsApp. We process it transiently, only to create your memory.
• We delete the original: as soon as we finish creating your memory, we delete the .zip you uploaded. It doesn't stay on our servers.
• If you haven't paid yet: your memory is generated before payment. We keep it encrypted and locked for 7 days; if you don't complete the payment within that window, it is deleted entirely and you'll need to upload your file again.
• Once you have paid: we keep the encrypted .recuerdo file, only so you can download it again. We keep it for a maximum of 30 days; after that it is deleted automatically. The memory you downloaded is yours forever, on your device.

We don't read, use, or share the content of your chat. We don't analyze it, we don't train anything on it, we don't sell it to anyone. The file we keep during those days is encrypted and exists for a single purpose: your re-download.

To be transparent: the file's encryption is managed by our server when it is created, so we won't promise you a technical impossibility that wouldn't be true. We promise you something more important, and one we do keep: we don't look at it, and we delete it soon.

• From your account we keep your email, an encrypted version of your password (never the plain password), and the history of your memories and purchases.
• From your payments: the charge is processed by Paddle or Webpay, depending on the method you choose. We never receive or store your card details — those live with Paddle or Webpay, not on our server. We only record that a purchase happened and its status.
• Cookies: we use a single cookie, your session cookie, to keep you signed in. No advertising tracking.

You can ask us to delete your account and your data whenever you want. Write to us at contact and we will do it.
